[Tallahassee.com] 11/13/2009, Tallahassee, FL -- "A man tried to abduct a 12-year-old boy about 6 p.m. Friday on Kissimmee Street, said Inspector Danny Jeter, a spokesman for the Tallahassee Police Department."
"The boy was walking toward Lake Bradford Road, and as he entered a roundabout, a truck drove past him and pulled in front of him. A man opened the door and told the boy to get in, Jeter said."
"Instead, the boy ran to a nearby business to get help from adults. The man drove away and was last seen northbound on Lake Bradford Road."
"The man was described as black, with a dark complexion and possible burn scars on his face. He had facial hair and a thin build and was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans."
"The truck was full-size and possibly an older model with tinted windows, a chrome toolbox, no tailgate and rust on the rear bumper."
"Anyone with information is asked to call TPD at 891-4200 or CrimeStoppers at 891-TIPS (8477)."
