[WMUR.com]  10/29/2009, Manchester, NH -- "Police in Manchester said they are searching for a man who reportedly tried to grab a Memorial High School student as she was walking to school from her car."

"The girl told police that she was walking on South Porter Street when the man pulled up in a small, red pickup truck and yelled for her to get in the vehicle. The girl refused and continued to walk. Police said the man stopped the vehicle, approached the girl, grabbed her with both arms and told her she was coming with him."

"The girl said she was able to fight the man off and ran into the woods. She told police she came out sometime later and the vehicle was gone. She then reported the incident to the school resource officer."

"The man is described as white, thin, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and in his 50s. He had short brown hair with some gray mixed in and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans."

"Anyone with information is asked to call Manchester police. "
