[WPTV.com] 10/26/2009, Indian River County, FL -- "The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is looking into a report of an attempted abduction at a county charter school. The incident happened Monday at a church that's being used as a satellite campus for the Imagine School."
"A female student reported someone covered her eyes and grabbed her arm in the hallway outside the pastor's office. The girl bit the person and ran back to class. The school principal sent out an e-mail to fifth and sixth grade parents last night outlining this incident."
"'The steps we took were appropriate,' said principal Joe Mills. 'We investigated this for hours. We talked with the parent and the process was good.'"
"The principal emphasized that student safety is paramount. Sheriff's deputies were seen patrolling both the satellite campus, and the main campus Tuesday. As of now, there's no person of interest in the case. The investigation continues."
