"Police said the boy was taken by his mother -- Jennifer Cook -- after his father was granted custody of him. "
"Investigators said Cook posed as the boy's father in an email to the school, arranging to pick up the child."
"Police said 31-year old Jennifer Cook is not wanted on kidnapping charges since she had not been served the custody papers yet. "
"She is charged however with a felony after police said she committed prescription drug fraud the same day. "
"The GBI said an amber alert for the child wasn't issued because many parental abductions don't meet the requirements."
