[Kansas.com] 10/20/2009, Marion County, KS -- "An amber alert was issued today for a 17-year-old girl who was apparently abducted Tuesday from her Marion County home."
"Authorities identified the girl as Tara Renee Simhiser, who is 5 feet tall, weighs 120 pounds and has blond hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt."
"Authorities identified the suspect in the case as Rojelio Hernandez, 21, who was last seen driving a blue Honda Accord. He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 155 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light brown shirt, blue jeans and a blue ball cap."
"Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the two is asked to call 911 or the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME."
"The KBI said it initially believed that Hernandez was headed for a hotel in Topeka. Authorities also received an unconfirmed report shortly before 8 p.m. that the subjects and the vehicle were in the Wichita area."
