"Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Samuel Blake Kirtley, 14, Wednesday afternoon. The boy reportedly went missing Sunday afternoon."

"Officials with the state’s Child Protective Services Division said the teen’s father, Neal Haynes Roberts, took the boy from his grandmother’s house. The agency was investigating Roberts, who has previously been charged with family abuse and aggravated kidnapping."

[Chron.com]  9/6/2009, League City, TX -- "Authorities issued an Amber Alert today for a Baytown teenager taken by his father who has a history of family violence, authorities said."

"Samuel Blake Kirtley, 14, was grabbed about 6 p.m. Sunday from his grandmother's home in League City."

"Baytown police said they are searching for the teenager's father, Neal Haynes Roberts, 49. He is believed to be in a 2004 Kia sedan with Texas license plate 178HWV."

"Police said Child Protective Services are investigating abuse allegations made against Roberts by his son."

"The teenager will be placed in CPS custody when he is found, officials said."
